Actel has announced two an intellectual property (IP) cores for its radiation-tolerant RTAX-DSP FPGAs.
The CoreFFT v4.0 is a Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) DSP core which is a configurable radix-2 decimation-in-time (DIT) burst I/O FFT for high reliability, radiation-tolerant applications.
CoreFFT v4.0 implements the Cooley-Tukey algorithm for computing discrete Fourier transforms, delivering a hardware accelerated radix-2 DIT burst I/O FFT.
It utilises both radiation-tolerant FPGA and mathblock fabric resources. It also delivers an increased upper data width limit to reduce quantisation noise.
The second core, the CoreFIR v4.0, uses radiation-tolerant multiply-accumulate blocks provided in Actel's recently qualified RTAX-DSP FPGAs.
It implements a single-rate, fully-enumerated Finite Impulse Response (FIR) filter, delivering one of the essential building blocks in DSP systems.
