Actel’s latest programmer for its various FPGA families, also supports FPGA embedded software program and debug managed by the company’s SoftConsole integrated design environment (IDE) for embedded processors.

The FlashPro4 programmer is for the firm’s IGLOO series and ProASIC3 series (including RT ProASIC3), SmartFusion(TM) and Actel Fusion families.

Use of the USB 2.0 bus interface means it benefits from a 480Mbit/s bandwidth.

For IGLOO nano 1.2V core FPGAs, 1.2V programming is supported.

Debug support includes embedded ARM Cortex-M3, Cortex-M1, 8051s, and future embedded processor designs.

The FlashPro software is available for free, either standalone or as part of all Actel Libero Integrated Design Environment (IDE) versions.
