Toshiba Electronics Europe has added two AC input logic-IC phoptocouplers capable of data transmission rates up to 5Mbit/ps.
Designed to support supply voltages from 3.0V to 20V, the TLP2095 and TLP2098 provide buffer logic and inverter logic totem pole outputs respectively.

Maximum switching time is just 250ns, and the operating temperature range is  -40ºC and 100ºC.
The minimum isolation rating for each device is 3750Vrms and internal Faraday shields provide common mode transient immunities of ±15kV/µs.

Both of the new photocouplers are supplied in a MFSOP package measuring 4.4mm x 3.6mm x 2.5mm.

This package integrates two GaAlAs infrared LEDs that are optically coupled to a high-gain, high-speed photodetector. Maximum input threshold current is ±3mA and  maximum operating current is 3mA.
