Torex has a high speed LDO with reverse current protection.
The XC6227 operates with input voltages from 1.7V to 6.0V, can deliver output currents up to 700mA and is readily available with fixed output voltages from 0.8V to 5.0V in 0.05V increments.
Its output voltage accuracy is ±1% for greater than 2.0V, a high PSRR of 65dB at 1kHz and a low current consumption of 100µA.
Low voltage dropout is 120mV at 300mA (greater than 3.0V).
Without the need for external protection diodes, the device’s reverse current protection can prevent the LDO from being damaged by reverse current flowing towards its output pin when V(in) less than V(out).
It protects the battery on the input side of the XC6227 against damage from reverse current.
As a result it reduces leakage current that can flow from a battery on the output side of the IC, preventing this battery to discharge in an unwanted way.
There is also thermal protection, current limiting and short circuit protection.
The XC6227 is available in USP-6C package.
