Amplicon’s Industrial Computing division has released the next generation of Ventrix and Impact-R industrial grade computers based on Intel Core i5 and i7 based 32nm power efficient designs.
Features include Hyperthreading and an integrated DDR 3 memory controller providing reduced memory latency and greatly increased memory bandwidth.
Another feature of the Ventrix and Impact-R is Intel Active Management Technology 6.0 (iAMT), which allows full access to system hardware over a network, independently of the installed OS, providing a level of functionality that would normally only be expected when using the machine locally, including the ability to power up, reboot the system and redirect the boot sequence to alternative remote media.
