Bourns has introduced its first electronic current limiters designed to tolerate AC mains power contact without circuit damage. 

The transient blocking unit (TBU) DT-series devices are designed to provide protection against faults caused by short circuits, AC power cross, induction and lightning surges. 

The family offers continuous AC voltage ratings up to 425Vrms and nominal trigger currents ranging from 150mA to 750mA.

The devices are available in surface mount DFN packages and are lead free and RoHS compliant.
