Atmel’s latest maXTouch capacitive touchscreen controllers are designed for use with touchscreens measuring from 2 to 12 inches.
The mXT224E, mXT384E, mXT540E and mXT768E devices offer 224 to 768 nodes.
The controllers are designed to enable the simultaneous use of a 2mm passive conductive stylus while continuing to support multi-touch.
The mXT768E is based on the company’s 32-bit AVR architecture and so has the signal processing needed for rejecting unintended touches and maintaining responsiveness on large screens.
The mXT540E and mXT384E devices are lower performance AVR-based chips.
There is full compatibility with a number of operating systems including Android, Linux and Microsoft Windows.
