XJTAG has introduced a free layout viewer to the latest release of its boundary scan test and development tools.
“By providing this feature as a standard component, rather than an expensive add-on, we can provide engineers with a cost effective way to quickly and easily identify likely points of failure on their boards,” said Simon Payne CEO at XJTAG.
The layout viewer works with the XJDeveloper tool which allows engineers to set up and run tests on a circuit and create and customise tests to their requirements.
The XJRunner run-time environment for testing will identify faults and which nets are faulty.
It now also provides clickable links to show the location of these nets and the most likely positions of the physical fault on the board.
Layout Viewer can show the distance between objects and provides control over which layers are visible.
It can be used to view relevant information and can choose to print the graphics or export them to the clipboard or a file.
There is available a 30-day free trial of the XJTAG Development System.
