Toshiba Electronics has announced a family of ARM Cortex-M3 microcontrollers targeted at audio and control applications in automotive.
Fully qualified in accordance with relevant automotive standards, the microcontrollers have 1Mbyte of flash memory, 64bytesof on-board RAM, a 10-bit analogue-to-digital converter and timers.
Integrated connectivity options include: USB 2.0; synchronous serial bus interfaces; CAN functionality; a serial bus interface offering I2C operation; and general purpose serial I/O (SIO).
The TMPM327C3D has an ARM Cortex-M3 core operating at frequencies up to 144MHz and is available with 1.5MBytes or 3Mbytes of integrated eDRAM, allowing it to support respective display resolutions from typically WQVGA to WVGA without the need for external RAM.
The new microcontrollers are supplied in 100-pin QFP, 100-pin LQFP and 144-pin QFP formats depending on the specific device chosen. Operating voltage for each device is from 3.0V to 3.6V.
