Texas Instruments has designed a sub-1GHz radio frequency plug-in-board for its MSP430 microcontroller development kit.

The 430BOOST-CC110L RF BoosterPack includes ETSI-compliant and FCC-certified modules. Two plug-in-boards with RF modules integrate the CC110L sub-1GHz RF transceiver, passive components and compact PCB antenna

There is a wireless software stack, the AIR BoosterStack from Anaren.

The 430BOOST-CC110L  is available today for $19, and the MSP430 LaunchPad is separately available for $4.30.
