Hitachi Display Products Group has introduced a 7.0in WVGA TFT display module, which has a 15:9 wide aspect ratio and resolution of 800 x 480 pixels.

The TX18D44VM2BAA features a 400cd/m² LED backlight providing a 40K hour half brightness lifetime and a contrast ratio of 400:1.

Electrically compatible with existing Hitachi WVGA TFT display modules, the TX18D44VM2BAA features an industry standard 40-pin 6-bit RGB CMOS interface which enables a colour palette of up to 262K colours.

The module has dimensions of 165.0mm (w) x 106.0mm x (h) x 8.0mm (d) and weighs 126g. It has COG (chip-on-glass) construction and can be operated at temperatures between -20°C and +70°C and is fully RoHS compliant.
