Rohm has developed the BZ6A series of power supply modules that integrate an inductor, capacitors, and all the other components needed for power supply into a single package.

The resulting package size is 2.3mm x 2.9mm x 1mm.

The devices integrates a BU9000X series 6MHz high-speed switching power supply IC directly into the board and includes all necessary components in a single package.

Features include a wide input voltage range, from 2.3V to 5.5V, making them suitable portable devices using 5V USB, as well as an output voltage range between 1.0V and 3.3V, ensuring compatibility with a variety of sets.

There is automatic PWM/PFM mode switching and a soft start circuit along with various protection circuits.
