CSR Bristol wireless R&D centre opening

We reported on CSR opening a new R&D centre in Bristol, concentrating on wireless connectivity and audio for products in areas such as automotive and wearable devices.

Mention was made of the expansion creating a number of job opportunities in the local area, especially for graduates from South West universities.

Specifically on that point, CSR says:

Attracting and employing the next generation of engineers is something that we take very seriously at CSR. Now that we have an established team in our Bristol office we will look to take on more graduate and junior engineers to compliment the experienced team.

We have good links with Bristol University through our HR department and senior engineers and will be keen to develop this relationship further as we look to take on graduates and summer students in the coming years. We have attended careers fairs at the University of West England and are also active players in UKESF initiatives such as GoForSet (where companies work with local primary schools on engineering projects to give them a taste of the engineering world). This has been a great success in Bristol with our engineers taking time to mentor and guide young students.
