Digilent supplies a range of FPGA and microcontroller development boards, JTAG programmers and a range of microcontroller peripheral application boards and portable instruments.
Jon Boxall, head of semiconductors at RS, writes:
“This agreement with Digilent represents an excellent source of tools for embedded development. It delivers on our ‘Digital FAE’ promise to our suppliers, to our DesignSpark community and to RS University customers, allowing them to comprehensively equip their design benches.”
Founded in 2000, Digilent has partnered with various semiconductor companies including Xilinx, Microchip, Analog Devices, Texas Instruments and Imagination Technologies to provide embedded design platforms.
With products in over 1,000 universities, Digilent offers resources including teaching material, sample labs, and shared curriculums for teachers.
“This deal with RS will mean a wider audience for our products in new markets, especially industrial and educational customers,” said Steve Johnson, president at Digilent.
