Atmel and FS Chip Design of Duisburg, Germany are to set up a European design centre for Atmel’s AT40K FPGAs. The aim is to provide system level design services, FPGA design flow and technical support, and intellectual property (IP) development and integration.
“FS Chip Design’s system-level expertise and customer base makes them the ideal firm to provide design support for Atmels new AT40K series FPGA designs in the central German market,” said Joel Rosenberg, Atmel’s FPGA product line director.
FS Chip Design will also be involved in system-level integration products, including embedding Atmel FPGAs with Atmel IP cores, like microcontrollers, DSP, nonvolatile memory and Asic.
