Deltron repors sharp fall in profits
Alex Mayhew-Smith Troubled group Deltron Electronics, owner of distributor and manufacturer Roxburgh, has announced a sharp fall in pre-tax profits for the six months to March 3, to ?219,000. The company, which is still the subject of a management buy-out, made profits of ?1.4m for the same period last year. Deltron’s directors said the poor results were due to the strong pound, difficult UK trading conditions and an abandoned expansion plan.
