Depressed markets hit Datrontech
Melanie Reynolds Memory and PC component distributor Datrontech has posted pre-tax profits for 1997 down by 24 per cent to ?6.1m. The reduced profits were attributed to the depressed memory and component markets and a one-off ?1.1m closure cost. Its networking business performed well, doubling sales to ?47.5m. “Datrontech today is a far more balanced business,” said Mark Mulford, CEO of Datrontech. Overall turnover was up a third to ?275m.
