Dreamcast not to blame for job losses
Richard Ball Sega has countered claims that its 1,000 job losses in Japan are due to poor sales of its Dreamcast high-end games console. The company states the job losses follow the closure of over a hundred games arcades. This will now allow Sega to focus on Dreamcast, said a spokesperson. Sega claims to have sold over one million Dreamcast units since its launch in Japan last November.
