Flextronics profits up 68%
Alex Mayhew-Smith Contract manufacturer Flextronics has reported a 68 per cent rise in net profit to $57m for the year to March 31, 1999. Turnover rose 62 per cent to $1.8bn from $1.1bn in the previous year. “This positions us well for the future, as the world’s largest electronics companies – particularly those in the telecoms segment – increase their outsourcing activities,” said Flextronics’ CEO Michael Marks.
