GenRad buys Valstar’s Scottish arm
Richard Wilson GenRad has bought the Aberdeen-based Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) business of Valstar Systems. The deal follows GenRad’s acquisition, last month, of Industrial Computer Corporation (ICC) of Atlanta. The Scottish MES business provides integration services and support for ICC’s factory data management software. As part of the acquisition, GenRad entered into a two-year consulting and services agreement with Valstar Systems that includes securing the services of the firm’s CEO, Bernard Booker. The business will report to GR Software, the newly created software business unit.
