Intel Camino ‘running late’
Tom Foremski Sources close to Intel say that the company’s Camino chipset which includes support for fast Rambus memories is running late and will not be ready until at least the third quarter of the year. This represents a three-month delay. Intel is expected to produce a Camino version that supports 600MHz Rambus memory chips. Support for faster 800MHz Rambus chips could take awhile longer.
