Lattice says Vantis safe
Richard Ball Customers of Vantis, the programmable logic firm bought by Lattice Semiconductor, have been assured that no product lines will be discontinued as a result of the sale. “Lattice has a history of never discontinuing any PLD product families,” Stan Kopec, v-p of marketing at Lattice, told Electronics Weekly. Vantis, formerly the programmable logic division of AMD, was sold to Lattice for $500m. “It is Lattice’s stated position that it will not discontinue or obsolete any products as a result of this acquisition that would materially impact either our Lattice or Vantis customers,” said Kopec.
