Acorn Group, the Cambridge-based PC and digital video design consultancy, has appointed Stan Boland as chief executive officer following the resignation of managing director David Lee.
A new management team has been appointed following the exit of Lee and a number of other senior managers.
Despite reducing losses significantly last year through an increase in its technology licensing business, earlier this year the company disappointed the City with a warning of falling revenues.
Boland says that he will focus Acorn on the digital interactive set-top box market, cultivating both component and chip design work in the digital TV market. Network computers and workstations remain in the company’s plans. “We have some great technologies and our task is to find the best partners to take them to market,” said Boland.
