Maxon locates handset deal with CPS
Alex Mayhew-Smith Maxon has made a deal with Cambridge Positioning Systems (CPS) to supply handsets for the launch of CPS’ handset location system. CPS says that following trials in the summer, the service will be launched before the year end. The system, called Cursor, uses existing cellular network infrastructures to determine the location of a user’s mobile phone. Knowing its position will enable mobile phone operators to provide tailored services to a user.
