Memory module maker expands in Ireland

US memory module supplier Kingston Technology is expanding its Dublin, Ireland manufacturing site, creating 180 new jobs in the next 3 years and a total of 300 jobs over the next five years. Kingston is investing $10m in the site and will receive an unspecified amount of aid from the Irish Industrial Development Agency.
Kingston said it chose to expand its Irish site because of the avaialbility of a local skilled workforce. The company sells its products worldwide and holds a leading position in the market for providing memory chip products for a wide range of PCs. workstations and notebook computers.
