Psion has warned that sales in the first four months of 1999 were 14 per cent lower than in the same period last year.
However, CEO David Levin remained upbeat, saying that the introduction of products in the second half of the year would improve trading at the company’s recent annual general meeting.
Psion previously warned that trading would be weak in the first half of this year due to the cost of investing in Symbian and a decline in palmtop computer sales.
