Semiconductor design show targets three market areas
Richard Wilson Digital TV, third generation mobile phones and automotive electronics are the three market sectors being addressed in the Semiconductor Design Conference, which is taking place on April 14 & 15 at the NEC, Birmingham. The event, the first of its kind in the UK, has attracted speakers from some of the world’s leading semiconductor companies. They will address technology and standards issues of importance to designers and managers who want to keep ahead of the competition. Papers will include: 3G Mobile – Silicon designs for third generation mobile phones and design using IP-Blocks in programmable logic. Digital TV – Cable modem design, integrated designs for information appliances, low cost and easy-to-use digital satellite designs. Automotive – Evolution of CAN bus technology, microcontroller designs for a mechanical world featuring motor control, next generation dashboard and body electronics design, Radar for adaptive cruise control and a look at the smart car.
