Sensors arm boosts Roxboro profits
Alex Mayhew-Smith Roxboro Group, the controls technology firm, has reported a 11 per cent increase in pre-tax profits in 1998 with a strong performance from its sensors division. The division made a record improvement in operating profits and margins to become the group’s biggest business. There was a slight increase in turnover to ?114.2m from ?113.2m last year. However, Harry Tee, the group’s CEO, said the continuing poor economic environment in Asia continued to restrict growth across the group.
