SGS-Thomson recruits for Bristol site
Steve Bush SGS-Thomson Microelectronics is looking to recruit 25 engineers at its site in Bristol to work on the joint venture SH5/SD50 processor with Hitachi. The 64-bit processor is based on Hitachi’s SuperH Risc architecture and has elements of SGS-Thomson’s abandoned Chameleon. Two thirds of Bristol places will be for chip designers and the remainder for software tool designers.
