Taiwan turns tables on Micron
David Manners In a witty reversal of the norm, the government of Taiwan has charged Micron Technology with dumping DRAM. Micron, always the first US company to initiate such actions against Japanese, Korean and Taiwanese DRAM makers, is one of the most aggressive vendors on price. The US action against Taiwanese DRAM makers will be decided in August. Taiwan uses $2bn worth of DRAMs a year of which Micron supplies ten per cent.
