Thorn takes DTI first prize
David Manners John Battle, Minister for Science, Energy and Industry, has presented a plaque and ?25,000 to Valerie Thorn, managing director of AND Software. Thorn is one of the winners of the DTI’s Information Society Creativity Awards (ISCAs) which provide finance to turn innovative ideas into market winners. AND’s product, called ProDesk, allows product designers to put up on-screen a 3D model of their design, manipulate it, fine-tune it, try out ideas quickly, test features and develop fully working prototypes.
