Games software firm Eidos plans to launch a free Internet service in the UK in association with Internet service provider Easynet Group.
The service, which will be targeted at Eidos customers – the PC and multi-player games community – will include free Internet access, e-mail and a news service.
The service will be marketed with the firm’s PC CD-ROM based games sold in the UK.
Earlier this month BT and Tesco announced plans for free Internet access services, moves probably prompted by the success of Dixons free Internet service which has a million users after just three months.
