UK firm raises voice on stock market

Voice technology firm Ashpool Telecom is the latest UK start-up to announce plans to float on the stock market. The company plans to raise around ?800,000 from an initial public offering next month.
Seven-year old Ashpool develops interactive voice processing systems which are used by firms such as Sky and Cable & Wireless in service call centres.
“We’ve been trading profitably in recent years, achieving solid margins,” said Ashpool’s chairman Ian Lindsey.
