Ultra buys US defence software firm for $10m

Ultra Electronics, the aerospace and defence manufacturer, has agreed to buy US defence software systems firm Advanced Programming Concepts (APC) for $10m (?6.25m).
APC supplies data handling software for military command and control systems used by the US Department of Defense.
“This will greatly strengthen our command and control activities by expanding both our technical capability and our market base,” commented Dr Julian Blogh, Ultra’s chief executive.
