C & K Components is embarking on an expansion plan aimed at boosting the US company’s position in the European switch market.
“We are number two in the United States and number 15 in Europe, and we are not happy with our European position,” commented John Sutherby, v-p of worldwide marketing for C&K.
Investments are being made in personnel, product development and distribution. New European sales director John Benson will be backed by three regional sales managers. “They will concentrate on OEM customers. These are companies we need to be addressing early in their product design cycles,” Sutherby explained.
To get to the tier two and three customers C&K will work through distribution and specifically Future Electronics which has been signed as a global partner.
