Virtual CPU gets update
Richard Ball Summit Design has upgraded Virtual CPU, its hardware/software co-verification tool, with support for the ARM7TDMI processor. The latest version of the V-CPU tool also runs on Windows and Unix platforms. To support the ARM processor, Summit has licensed an instruction set simulator from Advanced Risc Machines. This will allow designers to simulate code running on the processor before hardware prototypes are made. In addition to adding the ARM7 and Windows support, Summit has added links for the Verilog VCS logic simulator from Synopsys.
