IAR Systems has updated its ARM development tools to provide support for the C11 and C++14 language standards.

The firm’s IDE for ARM includes its C/C++ Compiler and this latest version 8.10 of the development tools adds compliance with the latest C language standard ISO/IEC 9899:2011 as well as the latest C++ standard ISO/IEC 14882:2014.

IAR has also improved window management and docking enabling more efficient workflows.

Anders Lundgren, product manager, IAR Systems, writes:

“By coupling the IDE enhancements with support for the latest C language standards C11 and C++14, the tools aid developers in writing code for the future.”

IAR Embedded Workbench for ARM incorporates the IAR C/C++ Compiler, an assembler, a linker and the C-SPY Debugger into one completely integrated development environment.
